NORIKO TERADA

Born in Japan, Noriko Terada originally started her musical life with the piano at her age of 3. Later at the age of 11, she began playing the percussion which she quickly fell in love with.
 
Noriko Terada is internationally known for her percussion recordings with hugely popular video game series, Final Fantasy XV, Final Fantasy XIII-3 Lightning Returns by Square Enix. As a multi-percussionist, she has performed at numerous famous venues and festivals/conventions including Emmy Awards, Carnegie Hall,  The Kennedy center, Blue Note NY,  Montreal Jazz Festival, TED and many others. She joined multi award-winning group called TAP DOGS  in October 2012. She has been touring with them in Australia, France, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Germany and Dubai.
 
Noriko has had numerous high-profile TV appearances, including being featured with Tap Dogs in the CCTV (Predominant State TV in China) entertainment TV program “CCTV New Year's Global Gala 2015”, in ZDF (German-public service TV broadcaster) Summer entertainment festival “ZDF Fernsehgarten”, as well as in the French public national TV channel France 2, “Le Plus Grand Cabaret Du Mondo”.  In Japan, she has been featured in the documentary “Rising Artist” from NHK World and most recently, she has been featured in“Dirty Water”produced by Boston's New England Sports Network (NESN).
 
After graduating at Berklee College of Music, Noriko has shown a great deal of versatility in musical styles including Theater Musical, Jazz, World music, Afro-Brazilian music, Pop/R&B and Classical. She was heavily involved in various bands and performed with numerous artists includes Grammy winning artist Kanye West, Anjelique Kidjo, Don Was, Sam Barsh, also big hits film composer Alan Silvestri and many others. She also worked as an accompanist for modern dancers at Boston Ballet, Boston Conservatory and Prometheus Dance.

She has been selected as a judge for International female drum contest Hit Like A Girl Drum Contest in 2018, 2019 and 2020, as well as Japan ambassador for regional Hit Like A Girl Contest  Japan in 2019 and 2020.

茨城県鹿嶋市出身、日本の女性パーカッショニスト。
幼少よりピアノとクラシックバレエを習う。東京音楽大学打楽器科卒業後、バークリー音楽大学の奨学金を受け渡米、同大学卒業後は国内はもとより各国でも公演を行う。
２０１９年１１月から２０２０年に１月に行われたクロノクロス２０周年記念オフィシャルコンサートツアー【Chrono Cross 20th Anniversary Live Tour 2019 Radical Dreamers 】やXenogears 20th Anniversary concert 【The Beginning and The End 】でパーカッションを担当、話題を呼ぶ。またビデオゲームファイナルファンタジーXV、ファイナルファンタジーXIII-3 Lightning Returns（by Square Enix）オフィシャルサウンドトラックCD、 逆転裁判６（by Capcom)のオフィシャルトレイラー、ラグナロクオンライン、映画リトルウィッチ・アカデミア 他、多数のレコーディングに参加。
 また、超絶技巧ピアノデュオ、鍵盤男子と　キリンビールGood Luck Live で共演。

その他、Massive Music が手掛けたTVCM楽天ファッションアベニューでのパーカッション演奏も担当している。

数々の受賞歴を誇り、２００１年シドニーオリンピックの開会式でパフォーマンスし話題を呼んだグループ『TAPDOGS』にアジア人初のキャストとしてオンステージドラマーに抜擢され2012年よりワールドツアーにも参加。

北米で人気のロックオーケストラグループ、Video Game Orchestra のコアメンバーとして、日本をはじめ、台湾（NHKワールド"Rising Artist"で放映）、アメリカで演奏。２０１６ 年より始動したCAPCOMのオフィシャルツアー Capcom Live！のツアーメンバーとして東京をはじめ、上海、北京、北米コンサートで好評を博す。また全米アカペラコンテストで優勝したワールドミュージックのグループ Women of the World の日本ツアーやレコーディングにも参加。
 
これまでにブルーノートジャズクラブ、カーネギーホール、モントリオール国際ジャズフェスティバル、TED、ケネディーセンター、ロンドン・ウェストエンド、ボストン・シンフォニーホール、アニメ・セントラル、PAX east 、PAX Prime等、数々のイベントやコンサートで演奏。
 
これまでの共演者は、数々のグラミー賞を獲得しているアーティスト、カニエ・ウェスト氏、映画『バックトゥーザフューチャ』『フォレストガンプ』の作曲者、アランシルベストリ氏、ドン・ワッツ氏（ローリングストーンズ、ボブディラン等のプロデューサー）、ジョン・ウェストン氏（ビヨンセ、ヨーヨーマ等のプロデューサー）、アカデミー賞シンガーのアンジェリーク・キジョー氏、ケンウッド・ディナード氏（マイルス・デイビス、ディジー・ガレスピー、スティングのドラマー）、オスカー賞受賞振付家ディン・ペリー氏、ショーン、マレイ氏（アメリカで人気を博したゲーム Call of Duty の作曲家）IMERUAT他、数多くのアーティストと共演し好評を博す。
 

２０２０、２０１９年、年国際女性ドラムコンテストHit Like A Girl contest の審査員をつとめる。

また、２０１９年、２０２０年には同コンテストの日本に向けたコンテストの大使を務める。

世界的に有名なグラミー賞の音楽団体、レコーディングアカデミーの投票メンバー。

現在、そのエネルギッシュかつ的確な演奏でワールドミュージック、ラテン、ポップス、ロック、ミュージカル、ジャズ、映画音楽、ビデオゲーム音楽などの幅広いジャンルで活動。
